2019 Annual Meeting Recap

Last week, the Ripley County Community Foundation held its virtual Annual Meeting by releasing a series of videos that commemorated the impact we had in 2019.  This year, we recognized the following:

  • Ripley Youth Outreach – Members discuss how they were able to have a larger impact in 2019 by partnering with local organizations.  Their partnerships allowed RYO to connect communities.
  • Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Winner – 2019 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient, George Ritter, discusses the impact the prestigious scholarship had on his college career.  We also introduce our 2020 Lilly Scholar, Gage Unrath.
  • Genesis: Pathways to Success – Genesis is an initiative of the Ripley County Community Foundation.  Mama Genesis, the Director of Genesis, takes viewers on her 2019 superhero pathway as she spent her year spreading the power of STEM through various projects in Ripley County.
  • President’s Award Recipient – Each year, the award is distributed to an organization that substantially furthers the mission of the Ripley County Community Foundation through various projects and programs.  Congratulations to our 2019 recipient, Hillrom!
  • What does “community” mean to us? – It all begins with “u,” helping us, “Connect people who care with causes that matter.”
