The Ripley County Community Foundation brought in two new interns in January: Wil Freeland and Pros Moorman. The Oldenburg Academy students are interning as part of a class to help them better understand different duties and responsibilities among the job fields. While interning, the students will assist staff with general office duties, manage the Community Foundation’s Instagram page, and take leadership roles when planning upcoming events. Let’s introduce our new interns!
Wil Freeland is a senior at Oldenburg Academy and is interning with the Community Foundation for his Senior Capstone Course. He chose to work at the Community Foundation because he believes it will provide a work related experience in several different areas of interest throughout the office. He also enjoys participating in the work done on behalf of his home community. After high school, Wil plans to attend business school at an undecided university. Most of Wil’s free time is devoted to hanging out with his friends and practicing basketball.
Pros Moorman is a senior at Oldenburg Academy and is interning with the Community Foundation for his Senior Capstone Course. He chose to intern with the Community Foundation because he believes that this experience will be worth it in the near future. As he plans to study finance in college, the Community Foundation is the backbone to his understanding in the field. After high school, Pros plans to attend Xavier or Indiana University and pursue a career in physical therapy or finance. During his free time, Pros likes to hangout with his friends and family.
