Welcoming our Newest Intern!

The Ripley County Community Foundation is happy to welcome their newest summer intern: Grace Vanderbur. Grace graduated from North Decatur Jr./Sr. High School and is now going into her fourth year at DePauw University. She is an English writing major with a minor in communications. She is originally from Greensburg, IN, but found her way to Batesville when she heard about the Community Foundation. She chose to work with the Community Foundation because she wants to make a difference in her local communities, like her grandmother did. She loves being able to put her ongoing degree to use, and in her free time enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys writing poetry, which is what inspired her degree.

While interning, Grace will assist staff with general office duties, manage the Community Foundation’s Instagram page, and take leadership roles when planning upcoming events.

Her favorite part about the office is the kind, welcoming environment and the easy going atmosphere. Her less favorite part – the gazillion plants to water that multiply every time she turns around. Here’s to a summer of (hopefully) thriving plants!
