Ripley Youth Outreach, an initiative of the Ripley County Community Foundation, is accepting applications for its Change Ripley County Grant. Applicants can apply for up to$10,000.00.
Ripley Youth Outreach established the Change Ripley County Grant opportunity to empower local youth to be changemakers in their community by implementing projects that address issues from a youth perspective. This grant encourages young people to partner with a local nonprofit organization to create positive change in Ripley County. This grant is awarded every two years.
Previously funded projects include a welcome sign in the Town of Osgood, led by Lanie Narwold in partnership with the Town of Osgood; the renovation of a playground in Brown Township which was sparked by Eva Lou Powaga and in partnership with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Olean; and the purchase of equipment for Sweets Ice Cream Shop led by Sarah Price in partnership with New Horizons Rehabilitation.
To be eligible for this grant, projects must be youth-led and partner with a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, an educational institution, or a government entity. Applications must be submitted online through the Ripley County Community Foundation website at www.rccfonline.org/grants/ no later than May 2, 2025. As applications are reviewed, up to five finalists will be chosen to advance to a final review process where they will give a project pitch and answer any questions from the standing Ripley Youth Outreach executive committee.
