Initiatives

Ripley Youth Outreach (RYO) is an initiative of the Ripley County Community Foundation with a focus of promoting education in all aspects of philanthropy in local youth. This youth philanthropy program is made up of teens from area high schools, with a goal to empower the youth to create a powerful voice in their communities and become leaders of their generation. Our initiative provides training on philanthropy, fundraising and the grant making process. Since 2015, Ripley Youth Outreach has made a powerful impact in their community through various projects and programs.

 is a collaboration of charitable women who combine their treasure and passion to create opportunities for the women and children of Ripley County. 

is celebrating the art of storytelling and the incredible talent of our local and regional filmmakers. 

is a beloved early literacy program that sends high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five completely free of charge. Every month, enrolled children receive a new book delivered directly to their mailbox, creating moments of joy and a strong foundation for a lifelong love of reading.

This program sends a backpack of nonperishable, kid-friendly food home with students at our five local elementary schools: Batesville Primary School, Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School, Milan Elementary School, South Ripley Elementary School, and Sunman Elementary School to ensure nutrition on weekends and school breaks.

is a local subset of a national program, Wreaths Across America, which aims to place a live balsam wreath on every veterans grave in the United States. Through this program, we work to:
